Wick Liquid Vapor section The input of heat to one end of the pipe causes the working fluid to evaporate from the wick and increases the vapor pressure at that end. The vapor moves down the core of the pipe and condenses at the output end, releasing energy to the condenser section. The condensate returns to the input end along the wick by capillary action.
