(b) Jetting of plasma across magnetic field lines was observed visually after Starfish. The phenomena could not be diagnosed quantitatively at that time; the distance traveled by the jetted material and the temperature, density, etc., of the material are not known. Thus, we recommend that a low priority should be assigned to the study of nuclear tests for SPS evaluation purposes.
