to ensure thoroughness, research should be initiated to explore the possibilities of cooperation and collaboration with those countries which are most advanced in the space technologies required by the SPS. In order to ensure widespread public involvement, the U.S., in conjunction with countries that wish to participate, should initiate an international public outreach program to encourage the participation of international interest groups. Concurrently, the U.S. public outreach mechanism developed in this Societal Assessment should be expanded in scope to reach additional segments of the general public.
