Recommendation 4: Eurospace recommends that ESA encourages and supports European industry to undertake broad-based discussions with other countries in order to assess the prospects for participatory or cooperative efforts. Such discussions should extend to all phases of a Powersat Demonstrator Programme. Recommendation 5: Eurospace recommends that ESA initiate discussions with the former Soviets to determine their level of activity in Powersat and SPS activities. The possibility of European companies teaming with their CIS counterparts for the initial ESA-funded study should also be considered. Recommendation 6: Eurospace recommends that Powersat solutions are included for trade-off analysis within on-going EM SI system studies.
