It is evident from Table 2.1 that rather large quantities of chemical propellants are necessary to support a POTV system. It is thus apparent that alternatives to the use of a chemical POTV could be quite advantageous. 2.2 The Post-2030 Time Period Very little more can be said about space activities in the post-2030 time period than has been noted already above. It is likely that this period will see the widespread use of space by man including space habitation and utilization of extraterrestrial resources.
