Figure 4 shows the area and diameter of the solar ray collector necessary for a required luminous flux, taking the overall system efficiency as a parameter. If 50% of overall system efficiency could be realized, the diam of a solar ray collector becomes about 2.7 m to meet the requirement (363,000 Im) of the Japanese CELSS study.
