Since then, studies on a two-dimensionally deployable array system and relating studies have been made at ISAS. The latest are structural design, the mechanics of deployable masts, the mechanics of 2D-arrays and vibration and control of the array. Figures 6 and 7 show the typical 2D-array systems. Figure 6 represents the case where the blanket is supported by the rim masts. Tension wires are used for stretching the blanket to the rim mast.
