Effect of variation of load current on operational parameters. 3.1 DISCHARGE CHARACTERISTICS OF TEST BED The discharge characteristics of the test bed were obtained under operating pressures of gaseous hydrogen and gaseous oxygen of 0.3, 0.35 and 0.4 MPa in order to compare with the test data of the cell stack test without the reactant supply system. The discharge characteristics as a function of the operating pressure are illustrated in Fig. 7. The operating pressures have little influence on the discharge characteristics of the test bed in the range of operating pressures from 0.3 to 0.4 MPa. The test bed put out powers of 90 W at a load current of 20 A and 147.7 W at 35 A under an operating pressure of 0.4 MPa. Since the power of the cell stack under atmospheric pressure was 79 W at a load current of 20 A and 123 W at 35 A, respectively, in the
