Effect of temperature of cell stack on discharge characteristic. cell stack test without the reactant supply system, the power of the test bed under an operating pressure of 0.4 MPa was estimated to increase approximately 5.5% according to the results of the cell stack test without the reactant supply system. Practically, it was due to the change of the material of electrode that the characteristics exceeding the estimation were obtained. 3.2 EFFECT OF VARIATION OF LOAD CURRENT ON OPERATIONAL PARAMETERS The functional test of the test bed was carried out in order to confirm how the variation of load current would affect the operational parameters (that is, the terminal voltage, operating pressures, circulating flow rate of gaseous hydrogen, feed rates of reactant, the temperature of coolant into the cell stack and the temperature of gaseous hydrogen leaving the condenser) when the load current was changed suddenly in the range of plus and minus 15 A from a standard load current of 20 A. When the load current was changed from 20 to 5 and 35 A, the variations of opera-
