well suited for small computers. The speed advantage is partly brought on by a new technique of condensation. This technique, also described here, is optimized automatically and easy to invoke. Country of Publication: France Document Type: THESIS Most documents available from AIAA Technical Library Jou.rna1 Announcement: IA A8508 A technique for simplifying the analyses of semiconductor power converters which exhibit nonlinear behavior is presented. In order to avoid the complex modeling of dependent variables caused by the non 1inearities in any power conversion system, the total system design is not specified beforehand. Instead, ideal values for the variables are introduced before defining each successive evolutive step. The circuits are thereby treated in terms of their structure instead of as a function of the electrical conversion realized. Sample designs are analyzed for a free-wheeling circuit and parallel and series power converters. Configurations of more complex systems are also considered, including polyphasic voltages and semiconductors coupled by linear elements, a monophase bridge with four diodes, and a triphase reset circuit.
