3.3.2 Series-Parallel Resonant Inverter Topology. K series-parallel resonant inverter topology is shown in Fig. 8. In this topology an L-C-C resonant filter is used to achieve a load-independent output voltage with an acceptable level of harmonic distortion. This topology has been analyzed using the phase-shift control methods in [8]- The fundamental and Thevenin's equivalent circuits for the series-parallel inverter are shown in Fig. 9. From this figure the following expression are obtained: where Fs, Vo, are the source, Thevenin's, output voltages and Zs, Zp, Zth are the series, parallel and Thevenin's impedances respectively. For a load-independent output voltage the Thevenin's impedance, as seen from equation (3.11) should be zero.
