One difficulty experienced with this type of cell is the inability to maintain electrode/electrolyte contact. Efforts to accomplish this by applying force have caused the polymeric electrolyte to flow and lose contact. However, several hundred cycles have been demonstrated in small experimental cells. The discharge voltage profile for a Li-TiS2 cell and cycle data for four polymeric systems are given in Fig. 5.
