Notes for Contributors Papers accepted become the copyright of the Journal unless specifically agreed otherwise. Authors are responsible for obtaining any necessaiy permissions. Manuscripts: Please send manuscripts (four copies) along with any supporting material and a list of suggested or barred reviewers to: Andrew Hall Cutler, 4717 East Fort Lowell, Tucson, AZ 85712, USA. Expensive or time-consuming tasks such as drafting of figures need not be done until after acceptance, but please do provide reasonable quality material for review. The authors are responsible for obtaining any permissions to use quotations and excerpts, or reproduce figures which are required. Upon acceptance, it is preferable that the manuscript be supplied in digital format (IBM/DOS format if possible), on either 314 or 514 inch diskettes. This should be accompanied by a hard-copy of the manuscript. A standard journal paper format, including summary, introduction, discission, conclusions, acknowledgements and references is strongly encouraged, but any format which leads to a logical and comprehensible presentation of the material is acceptable. The manuscript should be typed double-spaced on one side only of standard sized paper. There should be a separate title page giving the title, the author's name and affiliation, and the full address to which proofs and correspondence should be sent. Authors should supply original artwork for illustrations which they wish to include in their paper. English is the official language of the journal. We will provide editorial assistance to authors not fluent in English who wish to publish in the journal. Papers are subject to rewriting and copy editing at the discretion of the editor. Footnotes and short supplementary notes should not be used. Supplementary or explanatory material may, however, be placed in an Appendix to the paper. References should be given in square brackets or superscripts in the appropriate places in the text and cited by number or author. In the list of references, full details should be given, i.e. author's name and initials, date of publication, title of book or journal article, place of publication, publishers, and page number(s) if appropriate. The references should be listed in full at the end of the paper in the following standard form: Books, monographs: NYSTROM, H. (1979) Creativity and innovation (New York, Wiley). Multi-author volumes: Deregowski, J.B. (1979) Lack of applied perceptual theory: the case of engineering drawings, in: Eckensberger, L.H., Lonner, W.J. & Poortinga, T.H. (Eds) Cross-Cultural Contributions to Psychology (Lisse, Swets & Zeitlinger). Journal articles: KARLSSON, G. (1982) Cuts in resources can give us a better engineering education, European Journal of Engineering Education, 7, pp. 87-90. Proofs will be sent to the authors if there is sufficient time to do so. All manuscripts are subjected to copy-editing. They should be corrected and returned to the publishers within three days. Major alterations to the text cannot be accepted. Offprints. Fifty offprints of each paper are supplied free. Additional copies may be purchased and should be ordered when the proofs are returned. Offprints, together with a complete copy of the relevant issue, are sent about three weeks after publication.
