Some of these advantages are: 1. Minimum weight 2. Reduced construction time 3. Reduced thermal distortion. The major load-carrying structure (i.e., compression frame) is remote from antenna operational heat flux. A detailed analysis of this concept will require that thermal and dynamic analysis be conducted to assure concept feasibility.
