Abstract/Description:
Microwaves (200MHz to 300GHZ) scare people. But what if instead of "2.45GHz" they called the frequency "802.11b"? Or maybe "Wifi"? If you are reading these SPS documents on a wireless device are you being hit by a DEATH RAY? In 1980 the U.S. Department of Commerce looked into, for SPS, the then-unknowns of what we now take for granted (and even prefer). When it comes to SPS the devil is in the details, but we do have to remember that many of those same details were investigated as wireless internet was growing and the end result was... we are living fine with it and even desiring it over some other connection options. This document may guide some researchers to jump-starting their SPS research by looking into Wifi standards and regulations. Bigger amounts but the same duck in several respects.
