SPS. Day 6 of 12. And that darned idea of using the moon

December 30, 2024

Author: Smith

If God wanted man to become a spacefaring species, he would have given man a moon.” – Krafft Ehricke

Is this Artemis thing just about putting new types of Humans on the moon for more footprints and flags… and then forgetting again? Or is it just to test a rocketship that almost no one understands the reason for?

Or is it – or Should It Be? – about more?

It’s the 6th day of SPS with Volume 6 of the SUNSAT Energy Council’s Space Solar Power Review journal.

Four issues, with number 2 including papers from the IEEE Antenna And Propagation Society Symposium held June 1984 in Boston, Massachusetts. With Number 3 being a Special Edition from the 1985 International Symposium On Antennas and Propagation in Kyoto, Japan. And number 4 being a nice year-end wrap-up with Environmental considerations by Peter Glaser, a look at SPS 20 year future potentials from Makoto Nagatomo and a status report on Wireless Power Beaming by the technology’s hands-on father Dr. William C “Bill” Brown.

And issue number one? A topic that has been at the core of your humble Space Studies Institute since even before Dr. Gerard Kitchen O’Neill and his wife Tasha founded this bulldog of a place.
