Before the holidays, the Space Studies Institute was ready to release a new batch of government reports to the Online SPS Collection here on SSI.Org. There was just one small timing issue… one of the reports was/is an amazing piece, perhaps one of the most well-written of them all thanks to the combined experience of the authors, but it was coming up on the ‘Peace, Joy, Brotherhood’ time of the year and the content was not exactly a good fit for that. So we held off.
The thing about that extra time, was that it gave some of us the opportunity to really give this particular report more than just a “working” read and allowing the content to pass through phases of pondering. The Authors are worth it: Robert Salkeld, author of the 1970 book “War And Space”, and Peter Vajk …
… and Gerald Driggers…
… the legendary G. Harry Stine…
… and technology and management icon Richard D. Stutzke known well for his time with Science Applications International Corp.
While the content that they deliver reads at first like the research behind a Matthew Reilly novel, the reality is more a Herman Kahn contract.
This is special. So we decided to give it a few days to let it breathe for you.
