Space Studies Institute is pleased to announce that Robin Snelson is our newly elected President. Robin joined SSI as an active Senior Adviser in 2005, and has worked as Executive Director and Treasurer since 2009.
Gary C Hudson, President from 2011, will continue to serve on the Board of Trustees, guiding and supporting SSI’s work. As President, Gary advocated for development of an artificial gravity research station in orbit, G-Lab, and also launched SSI’s exotic propulsion initiative known as MEGA Drive (Mach Effect Gravity Assist Drive). In recent years, NASA’s Institute for Advanced Concepts (NIAC) supported this work with more than $750,000 in grant funding. Gary will continue to assist this experimental research ongoing under the direction of Professor James Woodward at California State University Fullerton.
Beyond SSI, Gary’s current duties include acting as co-founder and Chief Architect at Gravitics, Inc. [https://www.gravitics.com/], and co-founder and Executive Chairman at Oisin Biotechnologies, Inc. [https://www.oisinbio.com/]. Gary now assumes the role of President Emeritus of SSI.
